As a member of the Hickory Jaycees, you will have the opportunities to get involved with many awesome projects such as . . .

Easter Egg Hunt

Every year the Hickory Jaycees stuff over 20,000 Easter Egss and hide them for the Hickory Park & Recreation Department's Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  We also provide volunteers to staff the hunt on the day of the event.

The Hickory Jaycees Charity Chase Half Marathon

We plan and organize this entire race to raise money for the NC Jaycee Burn Center at Chapel Hill.  It has received rave reviews from participants.

Hickory Alive

One of our signature events, we plan and execute this life concert series during the summer as a chapter fundraiser, to give us the ability to serve our community.

Oktoberfest

Every year our members volunteer to serve beverages at Hickory's Oktoberfest to raise money to fund our community involvement.

Halloween Masquerade Ball

Another of our signature events, we plan and put on the best Masquerade Ball in town, raising money for our chapter.  Traditionally this party serves over 300 Halloween revelers each year!

Thanksgiving Baskets

We put together and distribute about 50 baskets of food to local families who are less fortunate to provide their Thanksgiving dinner.

Hickory Holiday Parade

The Hickory Jaycees plan, fund, aand organize the Holiday Parade in downtown Hickory every year as a service to our community.

Christmas for Teens

We provide Christmas gifts for about 50 underpriveledged area teens.  However, we give the gifts to their guardians, giving them the ability to give their teens a Christmas gift.

The Bash New Year's Eve Party

We plan and host this black tie event that has been a Ney Year's tradition in Hickory for 10 years!

 "H.O.S.T.S."

This stands for "Helping One Student to Succeed." Many of our members participate in this program in which a Jaycee will spend time with a young student during or after school hours helping them to read or working on math skills.

Social Events

W e provide many social opportunities for our members, including movie nights, game nights, restaurant socials, parties, sporting events, trips, festivals, conventions, wine & beer tastings, and so much more! We know how to have fun!

Training

We provide world class training in many areas including Public Speaking, Professional Writing, Debate, communication, leadersip, and so much more!
